This was a choice burial grown for immigrant Chinese tycoons from 1870-1919 and the grand tombstones say so.

Chinese believed the after-life was pretty much a continuation of life on earth, so the Sikh statues guarding the tombstones were commonly erected. Big-sized, burly Sikhs (from India) were used in guarding the banking and trading businesses, so why not gravestones as well?
