Markha Valley trek in Ladakh India
The Markha Valley trek explores a dry, arid, windy region that lies
between the Karakoram and Zanskar mountain range
visiting isolated Tibetan villages and old wind-beaten Buddhist stone temples, and crossing two 5,000m passes. Expect lots of plains and strange rock formations.
Its a fascinating world and the 9-days trek has been operated since 1979 from Leh City in the Ladakh region of India, bordering China.
